Removing fine wrinkles—exfoliation

The single most effective treatment for aging skin is the protection from the sun.  Once damage occurs, one of the best methods for eliminating small wrinkles is exfoliation—removal of the top layer of skin.  Two most common exfoliation methods are scrubs and Fruit acid peels.

Scrubs

Scrubbing the facial skin with mildly abrasive materials that contains salicylic acid (the main ingredient in aspirin) is effective for treating wrinkles.  The scrubbing should be perpendicular to the wrinkle.  Scrubbing mechanically removes the outer layer of dead skin cells and is particularly effective against fine wrinkles that form around the mouth and eyes.

For the wrinkles around mouth that tend to radiate vertically from the mouth, scrub along the contour of the mouth.  Similarly for the wrinkles around eyes, scrub around the contour of the eyes.  Please refer to my past post for correct message methods.   Also, in my past most, I have provides recipes of aspirin mask.  Use those on the regularly based will help delay skin aging process.

Fruit acid peels

Alpha-hydroxy acids are naturally found in common fruits.  For example, apples and pears are rich in malic acid; oranges and lemons are rich in citric acid; grapes are rich in tartaric acids; sugar cane is rich of glycolic acid; and sour milk is rich in lactic acid.  Among the acids, lactic acids and glycolic acids are believe to provide the best anti-wrinkle results.

Fruit acids facilitate the shredding of surface cells by softening the glue that holds them together, thus giving aging skin a more youthful glow.  They are also believed to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the inner layer.  Research has suggested that topical application of these acids can cause fine wrinkles to disappear within 2 to 6 months and erase deeper wrinkles within a year.

In my past posts, I have provides some recipes for fruit acid based facial masks.  Use those as inspiration and you can create your own skincare recipes using fruits and sour milk in your kitchen.
