Not sure about you, I need
“spirit” to keep me in spirit when traveling.
So I often have access to wine or beers.
With a little left over wines and beers, you can make a few skincare
products out of them.
Red wine mask
In a tea cup, mix the left over red wine with chamomile or green
tea grinds from the tea bags in your hotel room. Let the tea soak for a while so the grinds
soften by absorbing the wine into the dry particles. Then, add a table spoon of honey into the mix
and stir in one direction until you have a mixture with a soft paste
consistency. If needed, you can run hot water over the tea cup. Heat will help to soften the honey. Spread the paste gently on your clean face
and neck avoiding the eye area. Relax in
a hot tub and leave the mask on for about 15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water and end with a
splash of cold water. Pat skin dry and
apply moisturizer.
By volune, wine contains12% alcohol1& of sugars, 0.5% sulfites,
, 81% of water, 1.5% of acids such as tartic, malic, succinic, acetic, lactic,
citric, gallic, etc., 1% of Vitamins, 1! Of minerals, 1% of antioxidants such
as anthocyanins, bioflavonoid, phenolic compounds, etc. The red wine also contains resveratrol, a
potent antioxidant. In short, a little
wine is good for your skin and your health in general.
Red wine egg white mask
If you have the access to raw
eggs (you can ask for on from the hotel kitchen), you can use this recipe.
In a tea cup, mix one egg
white with about half amount of red wine and half a table spoon of honey. If the mixture is too runny, mix in chamomile
grinds from a chamomile tea bag. Mix the
paste in one direction until you have a mixture with relatively smooth
consistency. Spread the paste with your
fingertips on your clean face and neck.
Lie down in a hot tub, relax, and leave the mask on for 15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water
and end with a splash of cold water. Pat
skin dry and apply moisturizer.
Egg white and red wine are skin toners—they tighten the skin and
fight the skin sagging. Honey is a
natural humectant with antibacterial effect.
This recipe tones and moisturizes the skin.
Beer masks
If you have left over beers
from your dinner, you can substitute red wine with beer in the above formula to
make your own beer mask for your in-room spa experience.
Thanks
