This mask uses Radix Angelicae (a Chinese herb that I’ve
discussed in detail in my previous post) as an active ingredient for skin
lightening purpose. Here is the recipe
and instruction:
Place 3 tablespoons of Radix Angelicae (Baizhi) powder in a
small glass or ceramic bowl. Add a
fingertip chuck size of raw honey, an egg yolk, and a few drops of olive oil
(or squeeze in one Vitamin E capsule).
Stir vigorously. Use cucumber
juice to adjust the viscosity of the paste until you achieve a soft consistent
paste.
Spread the paste over your clean face. Sit back and relax until the mask is
dry. Wash off with warm water. Pat dry.
At this point, apply a serum (a mix of essential oils) over your
face. Place a hot towel over your face
for 5-10 minutes. Wipe off the excess
oil with the towel. Then, take a beauty
nap. You will wake up with a visibly radiant
face.
For your convenient, here is a simple recipe for a skin
serum: 1 part of sweet almond oil, 1 part of avocado oil, 5 drops of orange
oil, 1 drop of clove oil, and 1 drop of rose oil.
Enjoy!
Thanks for reading.
